And it's really good as I expected. Yes it does not have GPS, BUT it has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Smartphone GPS maps are always updated more often than a headunit with built-in GPS.This unit is pretty awesome for the price. This unit has no moving parts. It doesn't have a DVD\/CD player (which I prefer). Having an older AVH unit made it a very easy installation for me. It was pretty much plug and play for me.Pioneer's user interface has not changed much. So if you have owned older AVH series headunits, then navigating through the menu and settings are easy. If a person is not familiar with the user interface, it's not bad at all. It's easy to workout where to go. The screen might be brighter with last recent models I can't be sure. Anyway, it's not as good as today's smartphone screens though. It does works well and there are no issues with the screen.You can upload your custom background to this headunit via USB which is nice. You can also add a secondary screen for the rear passengers in the vehicle.
